Miami Dolphins News 8/30/22: The Skylar Thompson Situation

The Miami Dolphins will make several tough roster decisions to trim their roster down to 53 by 4 p.m. today. No other player improved their stock more this preseason than Skylar Thompson. As a seventh round pick, Thompson was already facing an uphill battle for a roster spot and the Dolphins were already set with Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater as their top quarterbacks. But the rookie showed in his first preseason game that this game was not too big for him and he ended it with another wonderful performance on Saturday night. The choice should be clear that Thompson deserves to be on this 53 man roster, there is no way he would clear waivers and end back up on the Dolphins practice squad.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.
