Here are the top five stories in Miami today:

1. Miami-Dade Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday morning outside the Booby Trap strip club on South River Drive. Authorities say 5 vehicles in the parking lot were found with gunshot holes. No victims were found at the scene. (WPLG Local 10)

2. At least 187 migrants from Cuba were arrested after 10 separate landings in the Keys over two days, U.S. Border Patrol officials said Sunday. Since October 1, 2021, U.S. Coast Guard crews have prevented nearly 4,000 Cuban migrants from entering the country. (NBC Miami)

3. InBattle, a Chilean-based software developer and operator of virtual reality and free-roaming gaming experiences, has opened a new interactive eSport facility in the Wynwood’s Arts District. The Miami facility is the company’s flagship location. (Miami’s Community News)

4. Housing Trust Group is proposing an affordable housing project with Fort Lauderdale amid rising demand for housing. All of the 106 apartments in the project would be affordable housing for at least 50 years and be 1 or 2 bedrooms. Tenants would have household income levels between $18,500 to $70,400 based on income levels sought. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)

5. High-speed rail company Brightline is set to receive $25 million as part of the bipartisan infrastructure bill signed by U.S. President Joe Biden. The company will use the money to increase safety for pedestrians with the hope of lowering the number of people injured by trains. At least 27 people have died and 30 have been injured in South Florid as of July 28. (WSVN, NBC Miami)
