Here are the top five stories in Miami today:
1. A 21-year-old man accused of inciting a riot in Coconut Creek is now charged with attempted murder. Dominic Marquis Figueroa was first arrested July 9 following a fight near a Marathon gas station at 3910 W. Hillsboro Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. the night before, records show. Figueroa was arrested again on Thursday on a charge of attempted felony murder for allegedly using a car to try to run down someone. (NBC Miami)
2. Several South Florida police agencies have captured two suspects involved in a fatal shooting in Coral Gables. Authorities say the shooting happened at the 10 block of Aragon Avenue on Friday morning. The scene is still is under investigation. (WSVN)
3. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 39-year-old man who they said fatally shot his girlfriend and then told authorities that she had taken her own life. Sean Booth Chidester is charged with murder. (WPLG Local 10)
4. Miro Brickell apartment tower in Miami has been sold to affiliates of Harbor Group International (HGI) for $184.5 million. The price equated to $495,968 a unit. (Subscription: South Florida Business Journal)
5. Miami Spice Restaurant Months is returning from August 1 to September 30. Miami Spice showcases restaurants from across Greater Miami and Miami Beach and invites locals and visitors to enjoy prix fixe, three-course meals for $28 for lunch or brunch and the option of $45 or $60 for dinner. Over 200 restaurants in 20 neighborhoods will participate this year. (Miami’s Community News)

- Miami has a new “citizenship ambassador” program to help immigrants become U.S. citizens. During Constitution Week from September 15 to 17, a large citizenship event is scheduled to take place in Miami to help eligible lawful permanent residents apply for citizenship. (Subscription: Miami Herald)
- Major Food Group has parted ways with Michael Stern’s JDS Development Group to co-develop a hotel and condo tower in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, according to The Real Deal. The 90-store condo formally called Major has been renamed 888. (The Real Deal – Miami)
