Betting odds favor Miami football winning ACC Coastal

Wynn Bet made the Miami football team the favorite to win the ACC Coastal Division in 2022. Miami has a win total of 8.5 games with and over at +100 and under at -110. Pittsburgh is the second favorite behind Miami. The Panthers have a projected win total of eight games with an over -125 and under +115.

Miami and Pittsburgh will enter the 2022 season as the co-favorites to win the ACC Coastal. North Carolina will likely be close behind. Duke, Virginia and Virginia Tech have new head coaches and Georgia Tech is continuing to rebuild from a triple-option offense in its fourth season under head coach Geoff Collins.

The 2022 season is the last year the ACC will use divisions. It was announced earlier this summer that the top two teams in the ACC will play in the conference championship game beginning with the conclusion of the 2023 season. Miami will play Boston College, Florida State and Louisville annually beginning in 2023.

There is a lot of expectation for the Miami football team in 2022. Entering the inaugural season of the Mario Cristobal era anything less than contending in the ACC Coastal Division will be considered a disappointment by the consensus of those who follow Miami. Miami begins the season versus Bethune-Cookman.

Miami vs. Pittsburgh
“This division appears to be wide open, but Miami and Pittsburgh enter as the favorites with the highest win total. Miami has a slightly better mark, thanks to the return of quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and head coach Mario Cristobal leading the way. Cristobal came from Oregon, and has already made an impact on the recruiting trail.

His resume suggests the wins will follow, too, as Oregon has posted a winning record in each of his last five seasons. This roster is ready to compete after a seven-win season. Van Dyke, who has NFL potential, finished with 2,931 passing yards to go along with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions.

He produced a Pro Football Focus grade of 75.5, which ranked 20th in all of college football.”

Shane Jackson of Wynn Bet previewed the ACC Coastal.  Van Dyke provides the Miami football program with a solid foundation for Cristobal and new offensive coordinator Josh Gattis to begin their tenures. Pittsburgh has to rebuild their offense with USC transfer Kedon Slovis at QB and a new OC.

Star wide receiver Jordan Addison who won the Biletnikoff Award in 2021 transferred to USC. Miami must replace its 2021 leading receivers, Mike Harley and Charleston Rambo. Cristobal helped Miami upgrade their roster with 11 transfers to the 2022 roster. The Hurricanes should compete more under Cristobal.
