Miami football commit Jaden Rashada named Elite 11 strongest arm

Four-star Miami football commit Jaden Rashada was named the quarterback with the strongest arm at the Elite 11 Camp held in Los Angeles last week. Rashada is the 42nd ranked player, seventh QB and fourth rated prospect in California in the Class of 2023 per the On.Com consensus rankings.

Rashada is one of two QBs committed to the Miami football program in the Class of 2023. Miami received a commitment from three-star QB Emory Williams prior to Rashada last month. At 6’4, 185 pounds, most scouting reports like the height Rashada has with the need to fill out more in a strength and conditioning program.

Rashada has thrown for 2,761 yards, completed 57.2 percent of his passes for 27 touchdowns and five interceptions while averaging 14.5 yards per completion during his high school career. The consensus scouting reports on Reshada state the need for him to improve his consistency. Rashada’s performance at Elite 11 reiterated that.

Charles Power of On3 lauded Rashada as having the strongest arm at Elite 11 and summarized his performance. Miami projects to have a deep and talented QB room through at least the 2025 season. Rashada is the highest-ranked QB to commit to the Miami football program since Kyle Wright in 2003.

Strongest Arm – Jaden Rashada (Miami)
“The Elite 11 Finals was our second time seeing Jaden Rashada up close in June. There is zero question the new Miami commit has a huge arm. Rashada can effortlessly flick the ball 60-plus yards. He has a smooth, natural throwing motion and the ball pops out of his hand.

Rashada continued to be up and down in terms of performance and consistency on a throw to throw basis. He will need (to) continue improving his accuracy and feel for the game. With that said, his arm strength continued to jump out and gives him something to work with from a physical perspective.”

Rashada provides Miami with a top 20 QB nationally in their signing class for the fourth year in a row. Tyler Van Dyke in 2020, Jake Garcia in 2021 and Jacurri Brown in 2022 were all ranked in the top 20 in their signing classes. The Miami coaching staff likes the potential that Williams will bring to the Miami QB room.

Rashada and Williams were one of 20 QBs invited to the Elite 11 Camp. Rashada was named as having the strongest arm at Elite 11 over Oklahoma commit Jackson Arnold who was named the Elite 11 MVP. Arnold is the 34th ranked player in the Class of 2023, the sixth QB and sixth in Texas.
