Fast-rising PG Brandon Rechsteiner receives Miami offer

Woodstock (Ga.) Etowah point guard Brandon Rechsteiner has seen his recruitment pick up over the last two weeks.

Add Miami to his list of offers after the Hurricanes extended an offer on Monday.

“After a great conversation, I am blessed to receive an offer to play at the University of Miami,” Rechsteiner posted on social media.

Rechsteiner, the son of former professional wrestler “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner, has also received offers from Clemson, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Wichita State, Kansas State, Dayton and George Mason in the last two weeks.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound unranked prospect also has offers from Xavier, Tulane and Toledo among others.

He plays for the Atlanta All-Stars in the summer.

Rechsteiner led Etowah to a 16-11 record as a junior, earning all-state honorable mention recognition, averaging 17 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals per game.

Rechsteiner is the third point guard Miami has offered this month.

The Hurricanes are looking for their first commit in the 2023 class.
