A consistently disruptive defensive tackle is the hardest position to find on that side of the ball. 


An interior lineman that plays with twitch, has a motor that runs hot, has length and strength against the run, and make plays in the backfield can totally change the upside of a defense. 


These type of players are extremely rare across the country.


When Miami competed for championships, the Hurricanes featured these type of defensive tackles and in the first year of the Mario Cristobal era, the hope is that talented players like Leonard Taylor and Jared Harrison-Hunte can take a step in that direction while transfers Akheem Mesidor, Darrell Jackson, and Jake Lichtenstein will also provide a boost.
