The top five edge rushers Miami will face in 2022



The best edge rushers can wreck a game and the Miami Hurricanes played against a good number of talented pass rushers in 2021. 


UM’s 2021 offensive line started the season facing Will Anderson, who was the most dominate player in the country last season while totaling 101 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks while adding 82 pressures. 


Anderson will be in contention for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. 


Michigan State’s Jacub Panasiuk totaled 37 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and seven sacks while adding 73 pressures. 


Florida State’s Jermaine Johnson, the No. 26 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, finished the 2021 season with 70 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks while adding 46 quarterback pressures. 


Miami faced many other big time edge rushers in 2021 that had productive seasons as well like Appalachian State’s Nick Hampton, FSU’s Keir Thomas, Appalachian State’s Demetrius Taylor, Virginia Tech’s Amare Barno, Pittsburgh’s Habakkuk Baldonado, and UNC’s Tomon Fox.
