Bettors like Miami and Phoenix ahead of Game 2s

Bettors are again backing the teams up 1-0 in their NBA playoff series.

A day after a majority of money and bets at BetMGM were backing both the Bucks and Warriors after their Game 1 wins, bettors are liking the chances of the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. Can they go up 2-0 after the Bucks and Warriors both lost on the road Tuesday night? Most bettors are certainly hoping so.

The Miami Heat are 8.5-point favorites over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are again without Joel Embiid after he fractured his orbital bone and suffered a mild concussion in their series-clinching win over the Raptors.

Miami easily won Game 1 106-92 over the Sixers and is getting 60% of bets and 66% of the money to cover that 8.5-point spread on Wednesday night. The number hasn’t moved at all since it opened, though the total has gone up a point to 207.5. Just over half of the bets and money are on over 207.5 so far.

The Heat are -400 to win the game straight up while the Sixers are +310 to even the series. Over 70% of money line bets are on Philadelphia, though those bets make up just 41% of the total money on the money line. Big money bettors are liking the Heat’s chances to go up 2-0.

The Suns took care of the Mavericks on Monday night and are 6.5-point favorites on Wednesday. Phoenix is getting an even bigger percentage of bets than Miami with 76% of bets and 71% of the money against the spread. Phoenix opened up as a 5.5-point favorite and the line has nudged up a point.

The total in Phoenix also went up a point to 216.5 as 60% of bets and 41% of the money is on the over. Sharps like the under and Phoenix on the money line. The Suns are -250 to win straight up and are getting 57% of bets and 68% of the handle to go up 2-0 in the series before it heads to Dallas.
