Returning International Executives Give Prime London Real Estate a Boost

A surge of international business executives returning to the U.K. has proved to be a boon for prime central real estate in the capital. Through the first three months of the year, the prime central London relocation market saw a 150% increase in demand as overseas bankers, investors and other executives began eyeing a return to the capital amid relaxing Covid-19 travel restrictions, according to data from London-based estate agency Winkworth. Hong Kong Home Prices Hit 14-Month Low

A fifth wave outbreak of the coronavirus has panicked Hong Kong home sellers slashing asking prices, sending property values in the city to lows not seen since January 2021. Prices for lived-in homes in the city fell 0.7% in March, the third straight month of price drops, taking the Rating and Valuation Department Index to 381.3, the lowest it has been in 14 months, and completely wiping out the 3.19% price gain which Hong Kong achieved over the course of 2021. Miami Is Now the Third Priciest City for Renters in the U.S.

According to the latest Zumper National Rent Report, Miami has claimed the title of third priciest city for renters in the U.S., bumping Boston to the fourth spot. The monthly report found that the average Miami renter is paying $2,630 per month in April—marking a 5.2% price increase over March. The top two spots in the ranking were claimed by New York City and San Francisco, which sport monthly average rents of $3,420 and $2,900, respectively.
