Miami continues to rise up the 2022 transfer rankings

Throughout the spring, the Miami Hurricanes continued to add transfer talent to the roster that will immediately impact the two-deep this year.

After the traditional National Signing Day on February 2nd, Miami head coach Mario Cristobal added five transfers, all of which ranked as three-star transfer prospects by 247Sports: RB Henry Parrish, WR Frank Ladson, OL Logan Sagapolu, DL Jake Lichtenstein, and DL Antonio Moultrie.

Those new additions were enrolled at UM for the spring semester and all of them participated in spring football, except for Moultrie, who was recovering from an offseason shoulder procedure.

Since that time, the Hurricanes have added five more transfers that are expected to enroll at some time during the summer months: CB Daryl Porter, DE Mitchell Agude, OL Jonathan Denis, DL Akheem Mesidor, and LB Caleb Johnson.

With those additions, UM continues to climb the 247Sports combined 2022 recruiting rankings that mixes both high school and transfer talent.

The Hurricanes now rank No. 13 overall in the combined ranking for 2022. On National Signing Day, UM ranked 15th. Since then, Miami has passed No. 14 Clemson in the rankings.

With the five transfers on National Signing Day, UM ranked No. 32 nationally in the transfer rankings. Now with ten transfer commitments, the Hurricanes rank No. 13 in the 247Sports transfer rankings.

Miami isn’t done looking to add transfer talent as well with the Hurricanes trying to land talented defensive line target Darrell Jackson, who comes from Maryland, and UM having interest in Arizona State outside linebacker Eric Gentry.

Landing a couple more transfers would give the Hurricanes a chance to jump up to No. 11 overall in the overall rankings.

Mario Cristobal’s first order of business was improving UM’s 2022 high school recruiting class and the Hurricanes climbed from a ranking in the 70s to No. 16 overall with only 14 signees in over eight weeks.

Since then, Cristobal has looked to continue to add talent and flip the roster via the transfer market.

Talent acquisition never stops in modern college football—and the Hurricanes keep rising up the ranks while improving the roster.
