Seattle Sounders vs. Inter Miami – MLS (4/16/22) | How to Watch, Start Time, Preview

On Saturday night in the Pacific Northwest in the United States, two clubs from Major League Soccer who have had subpar starts to their respective 2022 campaigns meet up, as the Seattle Sounders play host to Inter Miami.

The Sounders, who were one of the best teams during the regular season in the Western Conference in 2021. Yet, they have only had a decent start this year, going 2-2-1 through their first five matches of the season. Granted, they have a focus on competing in the CONCACAF Champions League, but they currently sit 11th in the MLS’ West coming into the weekend. Seattle has gone unbeaten in their last three contests, beating the L.A. Galaxy and Minnesota FC in recent weeks.

Coming into Saturday with just one victory this season, Miami is looking for some light to their early-season sturggles. While nothing has been as bad as their 5-1 loss to Austin FC in their second match of the season, Miami’s season opening draw with the Chicago Fire, and their 3-2 victory over the lackluster New England Revolution last Saturday have been the lone bright spots for the Florida club this season.

With this only being Inter Miami’s third season in existence, this will be the first time these two clubs have met on the pitch in MLS competition.
