There’s been considerable talk about what the Miami Heat might need to do to make this upcoming playoff run, most of it surrounding the offense. It’s been a strange season for everyone, not just Miami, but the Heat have found success in playing guys that were unproven.

Max Strus, Caleb Martin, and even Kyle Guy and Omer Yurtseven have made contributions this year, helping them secure the number one seed in the East. Despite all of that team success, one focal point has been Tyler Herro.

It’s been said in numerous places that Tyler’s performance is critical to Miami’s playoff potential. Basically, he needs to cook if they want to get back to the finals.

While it’s strange to say the leading favorite for NBA Sixth Man Of The Year needs to get going more than he already is, it’s true, to an extent. The Heat tend to do well when Herro is scoring, being 6-7 when he scores less than 15 points and 36-14 when he scores above that total.

Granted, the team has won a lot this year but we can say that there is, at least, a little correlation there.
