American Airlines ceased flights between Miami and Montevideo

On March 25th, American Airlines suspended its services between Miami and Montevideo after the end of the summer season.

The company operated three flights per week to and from Miami, one of American’s main hubs in the United States. As a result of COVID-19, this route is only operated in the summer.

Eastern Airlines, which inaugurated services in June 2021, cancelled operations to Montevideo in January. At press time, there is no official information regarding a possible resumption of flights.
