Eric Delko’s Best One-Liner From CSI: Miami

In Season 2, Episode 6, “Hurricane Anthony,” a tropical storm ravages the area leaving chaos and several victims in its wake. Not everything is as it seems, though, and as it turns out, some of the victims weren’t victims of the storm at all but something or someone else.

The episode’s ending shows several of the agents trying to take it easy and recover from the busy and overwhelming crimes. However, when detective Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) gets up to leave, she finds a silver lining in the situation. She mentions that it may have been a good thing that a criminal hit someone’s car in a hurricane because if he hadn’t, they wouldn’t have found and apprehended a murderer.

At this, Delko simply chuckles and remarks, “Leave it to you, Calleigh, to find something good to come out of a hurricane.” The perfectly timed line not only makes detective Duquesne smile but shines a light on a dark episode. The fact that this line sounds oddly like it could be on an inspirational poster arguably makes it the best Delko one-liner in the series.
