Inter Miami CF sends message to Tom Brady following retirement

On Tuesday, Tom Brady took to social media to confirm that he will retire after 22 seasons in the National Football League and seven Super Bowl rings, the most by any player or franchise in history. The 44-year-old had previously said that he was ‘still going through the process of a retirement decision.’

Inter Miami’s message to Brady

Inter Miami is owned by David Beckham and the Manchester United legend is really good friends with Brady. So when the former New England Patriots quarterback confirmed the news, the Major League Soccer club used their social media to congratulate Brady for his prolific career.

Congrats on an outstanding football career Tom Brady. We look forward to seeing you more frequently at the DRV PNK Stadium,” wrote Inter Miami.

Brady’s official statement

“I have always believed the sport of football is an ‘all-in’ proposition – if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game,” Brady wrote. “There is a physical, mental, and emotional challenge EVERY single day that has allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life.

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”
