Player prop bets to consider for Bills vs. Dolphins in Week 18
In the highly anticipated Week 18 matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, the stakes couldn’t be higher as the winner of the game will be crowned AFC East champions and secure the coveted two seed in the playoffs.
With so much on the line, player prop bets provide an exciting way to add an extra layer of intrigue to the game. In this article, I’ll be breaking down my three favorite player prop bets from the game, taking into consideration the Dolphins’ injury-plagued defense and the Bills’ newfound health. Get ready to dive into the world of player prop bets and elevate your game-day experience on DraftKings SportsBook.
Josh Allen over 1.5 Passing TDs (-115)
The Bills have pivoted after firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, and the offense has looked better — most weeks. Allen struggled last week against the New England Patriots but sometimes we have to give credit to a defense rather than just be upset with the offense. The Patriots consistently field a great defense even when they aren’t a good team overall. This week the Bills are facing a team they’ve had success scoring against and quarterback Josh Allen typically has a game worthy of Player of the Week honors when he faces the Dolphins. Allen has now been named player of the week in five of his 11 career regular-season games vs. the Miami Dolphins.
Leonard Fournette Anytime TD (+500)
The last time the Bills called Touchdown Lenny up he was given opportunities at the goal line against the Los Angeles Chargers. He didn’t punch it in but he ran hard and was trusted on the goal line instead of trying to put more hits on Josh Allen’s body at the goal line. With Fournette once again called up, I’d expect more of the same — and obviously I expect the Bills to try and score six every time they’re in the red zone. Don’t expect too many field goals tonight. With that being the case, Touchdown Lenny will have his shot again at making an impact on the scoreboard.
Buffalo Bills Spread Alternate -3.5 (+105)
The Spread has moved slightly this week back and forth. This morning the spread moved to BUF -2.5 which means just a field goal would cover for you. But I have more faith in our team in Week 18, with their backs against the wall. If you add an alternate spread of just one more point, DraftKings is giving money for that bet. The Bills have had their way with Miami for the most part and scoring hasn’t been an issue. And with a beat-up defense for Miami, expect Buffalo to apply pressure and try to put up big numbers.
Prop bets, short for “proposition bets,” are specific wagers made on various events or occurrences within a football game that do not necessarily relate to the final outcome or score. These bets are commonly offered during major football events like the Super Bowl. Prop bets can span a wide range of categories, from player performance and statistics to specific in-game incidents or even elements unrelated to the actual gameplay itself.
If you were to stack these bets for a parlay, your odds would increase to +1400.
A parlay is a type of wager where bettors combine two or more individual bets into one larger bet. In order to win a parlay bet, all of the individual bets within the parlay must win. The potential payout for a parlay bet is often higher than if the bets were placed individually, but the risk is also greater since all of the bets must win in order to receive any payout.
As for +1400 odds, this is a specific type of odds commonly used in sports betting. When the odds are listed as +1400, it means that a bet on that outcome would result in a potential payout of $1400 for every $100 wagered. In other words, the bettor would receive $1500 if the bet is won (the initial $100 wager, plus the $1400 in winnings). In general, the higher the odds, the greater the potential payout, but also the lower the likelihood of the outcome occurring.
We kindly request and encourage all individuals to engage in responsible betting practices. While betting can be a fun and exciting activity, it is crucial to approach it with caution and moderation. Remember to set limits for yourself and stick to them. Only wager an amount of money that you are comfortable losing and never go beyond your means. Additionally, ensure that betting remains a form of entertainment, rather than a means to solve financial or personal problems. Always keep in mind that there are risks involved, so it is essential to bet responsibly for your own well-being.
