2 shot, injured while attending party in Miami’s Allapattah area

MIAMI – A party at a home in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood ended with two people being taken to the hospital on Saturday, according to police.

A spokesperson with the Miami police department said they responded to a shooting call sometime Saturday afternoon at a home near the 2900 block of Northwest 22nd Court.

Police said two people were shot while attending a party in that area.

One victim drove himself to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and the other victim went to a nearby hospital and called police, according to investigators.

Authorities said both victims involved in the shooting appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not said if any arrests were made at this time and a motive for the shooting remains unclear.
