Police respond to reports of shooting in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police responded to reports of a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade early Saturday morning.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene around 5 a.m. where officers were focusing their attention on a two-story apartment building near Northwest 26th Avenue and 67th Street in the county’s Gladeview neighborhood.

Officers were seen blocking off a street in the neighborhood as they conducted some sort of investigation.

Detectives were using flashlights to search an outside stairwell area, along with an upstairs floor breezeway.

They also appeared to be going in and out of a second-floor unit of the apartment building.

Some initial police reports came in overnight, indicating the incident may have started with a shooting.

It is unclear if anyone was involved in the possible shooting or if any arrests were made at this time.
