Miami football expected to fit 4-star Florida LB commit Adarius Hayes
The Miami football program is expected to flip 4-star linebacker Adarius Hayes from Florida during Early National Signing Day on Wednesday. Three 247 Sports crystal balls and three On3 experts are projecting Hayes to flip to Miami. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists Miami as a 94.3 percent favorite to sign Hayes.
Hayes is the 73rd prospect, seventh LB and 12th player in Florida out of Largo. Miami currently has the seventh ranked 2024 Class. Four top 100 players have signed their National Letters of Intent this morning. Five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount and Hayes would be the fifth and sixth top 100 players in the 2024 Miam class.
Hayes finished his high school career with 389 tackles, 38 tackles for loss, four sacks, nine pass breakups and four quarterback hurries. At 6’3, 210 pounds, Hayes has excellent length at LB. Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports that Hayes can bulk up to 225 pounds. Hayes would be the second LB in the 2024 Miami class.
Four-star LB Cameron Pruitt from Theodore, Alabama signed with Miami on Wednesday morning. Miami signed four LBs in the 2023 class. Miami will be able to develop their LBs with Wesley Bissainthe, K.J. Cloyd and Francisco Mauigoa are projected to return as their top three players at the position in 2024.
Hayes’ commitment announcement is at 1 PM Eastern Time. Blount will make his announcement at 6 PM ET. Miami has added several top players down the stretch. The Hurricanes have flipped five-star DL Justin Scott and four-star running back Jordan Lyle from Ohio State in the last three weeks.
Signing Blount and Hayes would be coups for the 2024 Miami class. Miami is taking on recruiting heavyweights and winning several battles. If Miami signs Blount and Hayes, only Georgia and Ohio State would sign higher-ranked 2024 classes. Mario Cristobal continues to live up to his reputation as an elite recruiter.
