Florida State commit DL Armondo Blount is taking an official visit to Miami

It’s been a classic Miami vs. Florida State battle for Top247 defensive lineman Armondo Blount over the past few months.

The Seminoles were considered the favorite over the summer months for Blount, who was at that point a five-star prospect in the Class of 2025. The Hurricanes hosted on the final open day in July and put themselves back in the thick of things before earning his commitment less than a week after a win over Texas A&M in September.

About a month later, Blount reclassified to the 2024 cycle and flipped his commit to Florida State while in Tallahassee for an unofficial visit. Since, it’s been a back-and-forth battle between the two in-state rivals.
