Ivy-Draped Miami Mansion Asking Nearly $16 Million Could Set a Neighborhood Price Record
A turreted Miami mansion that looks plucked from the English countryside has hit the market for $15.995 million.
At that price, it could set a record in the posh Ponce Davis neighborhood where it sits on nearly an acre lot, according to last week’s listing with Dennis Carvajal and Michael Martinez with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

The nearly 10,000-square-foot renovated residence stands out in the neighborhood. “The exteriors are fully covered in ivy,” Carvajal said.
It’s true: The turreted residence doesn’t just have ivy climbing up a few walls—it’s literally everywhere, listing photos show. The palm-lined drive and lush lawns only adds more green that looks a little like Oz.
Inside, the interiors are bright white with tall ceilings and walls of windows. The foyer—with its two-story window and piano nook—”sets the tone for the experience of the home,” Martinez said about the six bedroom, nine-bathroom home.
“It’s totally decorated with the latest upgrades from smart home technology with a media room, cozy study, beautiful sit-in bar and a backyard that rivals a boutique resort,” he said
The living area has a towering wall of built-ins, currently housing an impressive vase collection, listing photos show. Blue doors and red accent walls offset the white walls. There’s also a bright blue office with a fireplace and a chef’s kitchen.
Outside, the covered terrace is also covered in, you guessed it, ivy. It looks out onto the pool and spa, and there’s also a summer kitchen and dining area and an uncovered pool-side lounge.
Miami marketing executives and philanthropists Jose and Heide Dans bought the property in 2008 for $4.8 million, records with PropertyShark show. They did not immediately return a request for comment, but Martinez said they have relocated to a nearby residence.
