Fans of the Miami Dolphins were waiting for the next contract extension to be announced, hoping it was for Christian Wilkins. Instead, the team extended one of their offensive contributors in fullback, Alec Ingold. Ingold was signed by the team last year and made an immediate impact in the Dolphins running game while also being a factor in the passing game. With this new deal, Ingold becomes the highest paid fullback in the league and helps show that the position still has a place in the NFL.
