Man Hospitalized In Officer-Involved Shooting In Hollywood – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Hollywood police said a man had to be rushed to a local hospital following an exchange of gunfire with police.
Authorities said it happened in the 3500 S. Ocean Drive at around 8 a.m., as they responded to a call in reference to an individual armed with a gun.

Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect fired at officers, which resulted in a police-involved shooting, according to Hollywood police.
The individual had to be transported to Memorial Regional Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

No officers were injured and a gun was recovered at the scene, police said.
The officer involved has been placed on administrative duty pending further investigation.
The incident is under investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
