Millonarios, Atletico Nacional to play in Fort Lauderdale

The fiercest rivalry in Colombian soccer is coming to DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on July 8, when Millonarios FC and Atlético Nacional play in the Colombian Clasico.
The historic matchup between the Bogota and Medellin-based teams features two of the three top teams in the Apertura 2023 standings and group leaders in the prestigious continental competitions Copa Libertadores (Atlético Nacional) and Copa Sudamericana and Copa Sudamericana (Millonarios FC).
Millonarios, known as “Los Embajadores”, have 15 Colombian First Division titles, a CONMEBOL Copa Merconorte title, a Superliga title and three Copa Colombia titles. Atlético Nacional have 17 Colombian First Division titles, two CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores titles, two CONMEBOL Copa Merconorte titles, two Copa Interamericana titles, five Copa Colombia titles, and three Superliga titles.

Among the top names expected to play in the Clasico: Atlético Nacional striker Dorlan Pabón, defender Cristian Zapata and goalkeeper Kevin Mier, and Millonarios’ center back Juan Pablo Vargas, midfielder Óscar Cortés and attacker Leonardo Castro.
