A Two-House ‘Mansion With a Mission’ in Coconut Grove, Florida
This four-acre, two-house estate in Coconut Grove, Florida, boasts 405 feet of Biscayne Bay access.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the incomparable property sold earlier this year for $106.875 million (after asking $150 million), setting a record for Miami-Dade County and becoming the first Miami home to pass the nine-figure price threshold, listing agent Ashley Cusack of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty said.
Proceeds for the estate, which was owned by American businesswoman and philanthropist Adrienne Arsht, were set to go to charity, according to Ms. Arsht, though Ms. Cusack did not specify which one.
There are more than 25,000 square feet of living space between the two houses. The five-bedroom, nine-bathroom home known as Indian Spring, built in 1999, also features a two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest house located above the six-car garage.
The second home on the property, built in the Mediterranean Revival style, was dubbed Villa Serena and completely redone in the 2000s.
The entrance to the houses is via two different gates, but they’re connected at the back.
The combined property has lots to offer in terms of an outdoor lifestyle—a lit tennis court, pool and undisturbed views of Key Biscayne, downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay from various parts of the homes.
