Miami bound Cyrus Moss talks from Polynesian Bowl

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman edge rusher Cyrus Moss committed to Miami during the Al-America Bowl in what was one of the tightest recruiting battles this cycle.

Moss is one of the nation’s top prospects and brings a lot of positional versatility to the table. Depending on where his body and frame are at in a few years, he could line up as an outside backer or edge rusher. He’s a natural pass rusher and should excel in that role at the college level.

On the recruiting front, Moss had a final two of Miami and USC before committing to the Hurricanes. At one point, Oregon was a heavy leader before Mario Cristobal left Eugene for Miami.

We caught up with Moss at Poly Bowl check-in to talk about the week ahead, what he’s looking forward to this week as well as his college decision and just how close it really was in the end.
