Publishing Powerhouses Richard Roffman and JP Faber Debut Global Miami

New Monthly Magazine to Chronicle City’s International Business

MIAMI, October 31, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Veteran publishers Richard Roffman and JP Faber know a thing or two about Miami and magazines. They were the driving force behind titles Latin Trade, Latin CEO, Miami Business, South Florida CEO and Coral Gables Magazine.

Now as Miami – long the nation’s top port of entry for goods and services from the Caribbean and Latin America and distribution point for Europe and Asia – experiences unprecedented expansion and emerges as a finance and tech hub, the duo are debuting a new monthly print publication and real-time digital platform destined to become the City’s leading source of information about the people, companies, trends, and opportunities behind its growing international appeal.

Published 11 times annually, Global Miami Magazine is launching just as the Financial Times recently ranked Miami as the best city in the U.S. for foreign multinationals to do business, and magazines like Departures mark their return to print. Global Miami will provide expertly written stories about the companies, leaders, trends, and best practices in the world of international business in Miami. The first issue will appear in November 2022 and will feature Mayor of Miami Francis Suarez on its cover.

Regular features will include stories on: air trade, sea trade, logistics (trade services), legal services, multinationals with Miami offices, new global firms, investment opportunities, investor programs, banking & finance, tax laws, the consular corps, global universities, commercial real estate, residential real estate, local culture, dining and beyond.

Global Miami is set to be distributed throughout Miami and in gateway trade cities across the US including Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. among others, as well as internationally throughout Latin America in key two-way trade countries that currently do business with North America through Miami.

“We are excited to launch Global Miami and provide C-suite executives with in-depth reporting previously only available in national business or trade specific publications. Greater Miami is home to hundreds of international headquarters including those of global financial institutions, shippers and logistics companies, legal and accounting firms, manufacturers, importers and exporters, foreign trade and consular offices, airlines, and cruise lines, and we are eager to tell the stories behind them,” said JP Faber, Editor-In-Chief of Global Miami.

“For decades, Miami has served as a global headquarters for companies doing business between Latin America and the U.S., such as HBO Latin America, American Airlines, Del Monte Fresh Produce and Tiffany’s Latin America. It has also been home to representative offices and depositories for the largest array of international banks outside of New York City, while Brickell Avenue, with offices for banks such as Santander, Banco do Brazil, BNP Paribas, HSBC, and Deutsche Bank is referred to as the ‘Wall Street of the South.’ With Global Miami we are filling a void in the marketplace. From executives in established corporations to entrepreneurs and new-to-market entities that are seeking to create or relocate businesses to Greater Miami, executives are hungry for information about the players, trends and best practices of international companies doing business in Miami,” said Richard Roffman, publisher of Global Miami.
