Miami lands top-100 edge rusher Cyrus Moss over USC
Mario Cristobal is already making his mark on the recruiting trail. The new Miami head coach landed one of the top uncommitted defensive prospects in the nation when Cyrus Moss, an edge rusher from Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas, picked the Hurricanes over USC at the All-American Bowl on Saturday.
Moss, ranked No. 63 in the Class of 2022 in the 247Sports Composite Rating, is the third top-100 prospect in Miami’s class, joining defensive lineman Nyjalik Kelly (No. 84) and tight end Jaleel Skinner (No. 98). Kelly is a local product who plays at Dillard High in Fort Lauderdale. Skinner transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., for his senior season after playing at Greer (S.C.) High in his hometown. He had been committed to Alabama before flipping to Miami on the final day of the early signing period.
