The MIAMI Association of Realtors (MIAMI Commercial) is bringing together the nation’s leading commercial real estate experts— including a retail industry trailblazer from Chicago and a chief economist from Boston— to analyze how today’s tight job market, rising interest rates, shifting demographics and more are impacting commercial real estate at its 10th annual Commercial Midyear Conference on May 13 at the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel.

“We are extremely excited to showcase top speakers from around the country to address the current economy and the future of commercial real estate,” MIAMI Commercial President Michael Hinton said. “We will discuss the many new opportunities ahead for Miami real estate and describe how our local commercial practitioners can take advantage of them.”
More than 15 presenters and panelists will participate, and over 250 MIAMI commercial practitioners will attend this sold-out event. The 2021 MIAMI Commercial Conference drew a record 300 attendees in October 2021.
2022 Midyear Conference speakers include: Deena Zimmerman, who has been honored every year with the SVN Chicago Commercial Top Production Award and is a recognized retail expert and top public speaker. Boston-based Jeffrey Havsy of Moody’s Analytics is also a keynote speaker and will discuss the changing commercial real estate landscape. Havsy served as CBRE’s Americas Chief Economist and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries Director of Research before joining Moody’s Analytics. Conference topics include: the Retail Revolution, Office Outlook 2022 and Beyond, from Dirt to Lease, Tech Tools to Transform your Commercial Business and Impact of Labor Shortages on Commercial Real Estate. The Dirt to Lease discussion is a new panel where panelists will share the necessary steps, for all asset classes, to take a piece of land to a lease building.
