Three Chicago-born law firms appeared to race into Miami this year.

First, Law.com reported on May 11 that Sidley Austin was exploring the Miami market. A week later, Winston & Strawn announced a new office in the Magic City. Only hours after that, Kirkland & Ellis officially announced its own entry into South Florida.
