Time, TV, Stream, and Odds for Saturday Night in South Bend » UHND.com
Six years ago tonight, Notre Dame knocked off top-ranked Clemson in double overtime. Another No. 1 team arrives under the lights this evening. Miami comes to South Bend 8-0, and it was the Hurricanes’ 27-24 win in last year’s opener that ultimately left the Irish out of the playoff field. Notre Dame is No. 4 in the AP poll and No. 11 in the CFP rankings, but the books have the Irish favored by about a touchdown at home.

This is a home game, so it’s on NBC and Peacock carries it live. NBC is also free over the air if you have an antenna.
Without cable or an antenna, a Peacock subscription is the simplest way in. A live-TV service that includes your local NBC station works too, but check that NBC is in your package before kickoff.
Weather
South Bend starts the day cloudy, with a high near 49 and only a 10 percent chance of rain. By kickoff it should be in the low 40s with a light wind, and temperatures keep dropping toward the mid-30s overnight.
The stakes
This is the 29th meeting between the programs, and Notre Dame leads the series 18-9-1. Miami has taken seven of the last 12, including the last two: 41-8 at Hard Rock Stadium in 2017 and the 27-24 opener in Miami Gardens last August. The Hurricanes are 1-9 all-time in South Bend, with the lone win coming in 1984, and this is their first trip to Notre Dame Stadium since 2016.
Notre Dame is 7-1 after a 35-13 win over Navy at Gillette Stadium last Saturday. CJ Carr threw two touchdown passes, and while Navy ran for 212 yards on the day, the Irish held the Midshipmen to 56 total yards in the second half.
Miami needed a late rally to stay perfect, beating North Carolina 38-35 in Chapel Hill. Darian Mensah threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Malachi Toney, and Mark Fletcher Jr. scored the go-ahead touchdown on a fourth-down run with 7:49 to play. Toney hurt his ankle in practice on Wednesday, and his status for tonight was still uncertain as of midweek.
ESPN’s College GameDay is in South Bend this morning. Notre Dame stays home next Saturday to host Boston College.
