Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Falls At Miami (OH), 5-2
OXFORD, Ohio – The Cleveland State women’s tennis team closed out its season-opening roadswing Saturday, dropping a 5-2 contest at Miami (OH).
Cleveland State picked up its two points on the day in singles play, with Laura Tapia and Leah Geisz both picking up wins.
Tapia earned a 4-6, 7-5, 1-0(6) win at No. 3 singles, while Geisz posted a 6-7(4), 7-5, 1-0(8) win at the No. 6 spot.
With the win, Geisz now has a team-best three singles wins this spring and eight on the year.
The Vikings will play at home for the first time this spring next weekend, hosting Toledo on Friday and St. Bonaventure on Saturday.
