MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 23-year-old man on accusations that he raped a 22-year-old woman in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.

Jail records show Pablo Virgilio Chubbeb, a Guatemalan national, is facing one count of sexual battery including threats.

The incident occurred this past Friday near the 22000 block of Southwest 189th Avenue, in the rural Redland area.

According to his arrest report, Chubbeb approached the victim and said, “You’re going to give it to me or I’m going to take it,” before removing her pants and raping her.

Moments after the attack, deputies said he warned her that if she reported him to the police, he would have someone hurt her.

Deputies said Chubbeb confessed to the attack during questioning. They did not confirm if he is known to the victim.

As of Monday morning, he was being held without bond on an immigration hold at the Metrowest Detention Center.
