According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a trooper was driving on Northwest 27th Avenue when they spotted a white Chevrolet SUV that had a license plate that matched a reported stolen vehicle.

An arrest report said the trooper confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen by Hialeah Police, and they continued to follow the SUV until another trooper arrived in the area.

Once the second trooper arrived, a traffic stop was initiated on the westbound entrance ramp of the Palmetto Expressway, the report said. The driver pulled over, and he was immediately taken into custody.

Friol, the report said, was identified through his driver’s license, and he was listed as the suspect that was provided by Hialeah Police.

After he was arrested, the owner got her vehicle back, and Friol was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
