A woman was injured in a shooting Tuesday at an apartment in west Miami-Dade, officials said.
The shooting happened in the 300 block of Northwest 72nd Avenue.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they transported a woman shot in the upper extremities to the hospital.
The shooter is believed to be in custody. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation prompted massive street closures and delays in the area.
