Fontainebleau Miami Beach Is Getting A Huge New Water Park—With One Of The Tallest Slides In The Country

Summer may currently be underway, but the Fontainebleau Miami Beach is gearing up for your future staycation with the addition of a new water park! It’s a a project developers are calling “one of its most ambitious investments to date.”
As reported by the Miami Herald, the luxe resort is set to undergo a transformation to its outdoor pool area, with five all-new pools, two hot tubs and a kids zone for some family fun in the sun. There are currently 10 pools on the pool deck and after the changes, it will have 11 new slides to get your thrills at.

In fact, plans include six waterslides for both teens and adults, including a massive 120-foot slide — one of the largest drops in the U.S.!
Other additions include cabanas equipped with TVs and lockers, poolside programming, upgrades to La Côte Restaurant and three signature bars. Plus, the massive redevelopment is expected to generate hundreds of jobs, ranging from ride operations and lifeguards to food and beverage staff.

“This is a milestone moment for Fontainebleau Miami Beach and our vision for what a modern resort destination can be,” said Jeffrey Soffer, chairman and CEO of Fontainebleau Development, in a statement. “With the addition of these new attractions and amenities, we are creating a fully integrated, large-scale family-focused experience unlike any other in the region.”

This all sounds incredibly exciting, but it will take some time. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026, with completion expected the following year — all while the hotel remains open. An application has been submitted to the Historic Preservation Board for the major renovation.
Stay tuned for future updates!
