Man, woman shot in Miami


MIAMI – Miami police are investigating a double shooting that was reported early Thursday morning.

According to police, someone called 911 around 12:40 a.m. to report that two people had been shot in the area of Northwest 11th Street and 24th Avenue.

Police said officers arrived at the scene and found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the stomach.

Police said a man had also been shot in the area.

Both were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center and are currently listed in critical condition.

A Local 10 News crew was in the area later in the morning as the investigation was still underway and spotted a white GMC with a bullet hole in the windshield.

Police said the shooter fled the scene before officers arrived. They believe the shooting may have been domestic-related.

The investigation remains ongoing and no other details were immediately released.
