Miami Gardens police seek fugitive wanted for first-degree murder
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami Gardens police are seeking a man who they said is a fugitive wanted for first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last year.
According to police, Yalanski Delon Dawkins, 45, fatally shot Antonio Fannin, 41, at about 5:55 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2025, while Fannin was sitting in a parked vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 16000 block of Northwest 26th Avenue.
Police said an arrest warrant was issued for Dawkins on Sept. 26, 2025, for charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, but he has not yet been found.
Miami Gardens police said detectives from their department as well as U.S. Marshals have been actively searching for Dawkins.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Detective H. Baez De Jesus at 305-474-1615. Anonymous tips can be made by calling the U.S. Marshals tip line at 1-800-869-4589 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
Authorities warned that Dawkins should be considered armed and dangerous.
