Miami Gardens police seek fugitive wanted for first-degree murder

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami Gardens police are seeking a man who they said is a fugitive wanted for first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last year.

According to police, Yalanski Delon Dawkins, 45, fatally shot Antonio Fannin, 41, at about 5:55 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2025, while Fannin was sitting in a parked vehicle in the driveway of a home in the 16000 block of Northwest 26^th Avenue.

Police said an arrest warrant was issued for Dawkins on Sept. 26, 2025, for charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, but he has not yet been found.

Miami Gardens police said detectives from their department as well as U.S. Marshals have been actively searching for Dawkins.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

Authorities warned that Dawkins should be considered armed and dangerous.
