Israeli arrested for child pornography possession in Miami

An Israeli man was arrested at PortMiami in Miami Beach on Monday under suspicion by of possessing child pornography material in his cellphone, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) announced.
The man, identified as Basilios Grayeb, 29, from Haifa, was arrested by Officer A. Silvio, from the human trafficking unit, who spotted the suspect at the exit of a Royal Caribbean Cruise and took the defendant into custody, according to an MDSO official document.
The US Customs and Border Protection Officers received the suspicious report at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday.
While conducting a deeper search, Officer Silvio found one video file containing child sexual abuse material on Grayeb’s phone, showing a man raping a young girl, who appeared to be under the age of five, MDSO documents stated.
After confirming his findings, Silvio contacted the Internet Crimes Against Children unit at the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
Around 11:43 a.m., a group of detectives assumed the case after being informed by Officer Silvio that the child pornography file could be found in the VLC player downloaded on the suspect’s phone.
The defendant laterconfessed to possessing the video.
After being arrested, Grayeb was transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility by the Seaport District Uniform Patrol.
