California billionaires eyeing this $88.5M Miami mansion
A striking $88.5 million oceanfront Miami spec mansion with golden views and a rooftop pool has hit the market — and California billionaires are circling.
The oceanfront estate at 255 Ocean Blvd. in Miami’s tony Golden Beach was completed just last month. It was on the market as a whisper listing until its official launch Thursday — in the midst of a billionaire exodus that is in response to a proposed billionaires tax in California.
“The only people who have seen it so far are billionaires from California,” said listing broker Dina Goldentayer, of Douglas Elliman. The listing comes as Google co-founder Larry Page recently purchased three residences in Coconut Grove for a combined $188 million. Florida, famous for no income tax, has already become home to the billionaires Jeff Bezos and Ken Griffin in recent years — and now, the Silicon Valley set is following.
If this mansion sells for near or at its asking price, it will set a record for Golden Beach, Goldentayer added.
The “tropical modern mansion” comes with a natural stone exterior and floor-to-ceiling glass walls. At 18,000 square feet, it features seven bedrooms, with nearly 12,000 square feet of additional outdoor living space — and 100 feet on the ocean.
The home also comes fully furnished by Minotti, with artworks available for purchase at an additional cost, Goldentayer said.
Absent of stucco, the stone exterior minimizes maintenance and eliminates floor risk concerns, the listing notes.
Designed and developed by SDH Studio Architecture + Design and Treo Construction, the home boasts a rooftop pool and spa. Inside, there are two elevators and three staircases.
It opens to a grand double-height foyer with 23-foot-high ceilings, travertine floors, white oak millwork and plenty of ocean views. The living and entertaining spaces come with retractable windows that maximize the indoor/outdoor lifestyle concept.
Design details include a marble bar with dual temperature-controlled wine walls. There’s also an oceanfront chef’s kitchen with marble islands, a TV room and a breakfast room.
A main bedroom suite features Italian marble, two dressing rooms and a spa-like bath with a marble tub made, the listing notes, from a “single block of stone.”
There’s also a “wellness wing” with a gym, a massage room, a sauna and a cold plunge; two home office suites; and staff quarters.
Outside, there’s a lap pool on the landscaped grounds along with the rooftop pool, spa, and lounge seating.
The property also includes a guest house.
