The Orange women (17-4, 7-3 ACC) are coming off a dominant rout of Georgia Tech, earning a 94-70 victory at the Dome on Thursday night.

Laila Phelia led all scorers with 23 points while tying down Georgia Tech’s offense with a career-high seven steals. Dominique Darius matched her offensive intensity, pouring in 20 points for the fourth time this season. Uche Izoje continued her recent stretch of excellence with 17 points and 15 rebounds, recording her 10th double-double of the year and fourth in consecutive games.

The Orange wasted no time establishing control, racing to a 9-0 advantage that forced Georgia Tech to call timeout less than two minutes into the game. Syracuse closed the opening quarter ahead 18-8 and stretched the margin to 40-23 by halftime, marking the program’s largest halftime lead against an ACC opponent this season.

Georgia Tech showed little resistance after intermission as Syracuse outscored the Yellow Jackets 54-47 over the final 20 minutes. The 24-point margin of victory represents the Orange’s most lopsided ACC win since defeating Boston College on March 2, 2025.

Syracuse showcased its roster depth throughout the game, with 12 of the 14 players who checked in finding the scoring column.

Now the Orange square off with Miami, who are 12-9 overall, 4-6 against the conference and in 12th place in the ACC. Miami took a 74-58 loss to No. 20 Duke on Thursday, but they have a 20-15 all-time record against the Orange. Last time these teams met, Syracuse won 66-61.
