The Miami Heat might have be missing Norman Powell after he was downgraded to questionable with lower back soreness.
The Miami Heat are trying to build consistency within their starting lineup, but another injury setback means the team might have to wait.
Heat guard Norman Powell has been listed as questionable to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, January 11, while dealing with lower back soreness.
Powell has been relatively healthy throughout the season. He’s played in 33 of the Heat’s 38 games.
Heat guard Tyler Herro was initially listed as questionable to play with a toe contusion, but the team announced he will be available to play.
Herro has battled the toe injury throughout the season. He missed 11 straight games in December and January while recovering.
The Heat’s 123-99 loss to the Indiana Pacers was only the third game in which the Heat had no players missing with an injury.
The team might have to wait yet another game to play with an entirely healthy lineup.
The Miami Heat are Coming off Their Worst Performances of the Season

GettyThe Miami Heat will enter the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder coming off two consecutive blowout losses.
The Miami Heat have lost by a combined 52 points over their last two games.
In losses to the Indiana Pacers and the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team failed to score 100 points while giving up more than 120 points.
As Tyler Herro returned to the Heat’s starting lineup, that team has had trouble meshing together and finding consistency on both sides of the ball.
“It’s only our third or fourth game, I believe, as a full unit,” Herro said. “We all want to make it work, we just have to make it work.”
The Heat have dealt with cold spells throughout the season, but have rebounded to go on winning streaks. After losing eight of nine games earlier in the season, the Heat won four straight games.
Now, with the Heat underperforming again, the team will have to be resilient to turn their play around and try to stay out of the play-in tournament.
The Oklahoma City Thunder, however, are arguably the top team in the NBA. They’re in first place in the Western Conference with a 32-7 record and an average point differential of +13.
The Heat have lost four straight games to the Thunder by an average of nine points per game.
