Northwest Miami-Dade shooting leaves man dead, woman critically injured A man was killed and a woman was critically injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was killed and a woman was critically injured in a shooting early Wednesday morning in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the area around 2 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a ShotSpotter alert near the intersection of Northwest 63rd Street and 21st Avenue.

Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported both victims to a local hospital, authorities said. The man later died from his injuries. The woman remained in critical condition.

Detectives with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau have taken over the investigation. No additional details about the victims or possible suspect or suspects were immediately released.
