American Airlines now offers nonstop flights from Jackson to Miami

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – American Airlines will begin weekly nonstop flight service from Jackson to Miami, the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority announced on Thursday.

JMAA said the new service will provide travelers with better access to Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean through Miami’s hub.

“We are thrilled to welcome this new nonstop service to Miami,” said Rosa Beckett, JMAA CEO. “This route brings tremendous value to both leisure and business travelers while strengthening our partnership with American Airlines. And just as Miami welcomes the world, we are equally proud that this route brings more visitors into Jackson, where travelers can experience our culture, creativity, music, food, and unmatched Southern hospitality the moment they step off the plane. We are honored to be the front door to that experience. It is a clear reflection of JMAA’s commitment to elevating the travel experience, expanding connectivity, and delivering the high-quality service our community deserves.”

The weekly nonstop flight to Miami will start on March 14, 2026, and will operate through the 2026 summer season.

Tickets for the new route are already available for purchase here.
