Starbucks at Miami Central hosts ‘Holiday Sip & Shine’
Concessions International, LLC, has announced the successful launch of its inaugural “Holiday Sip & Shine” community activation at the Starbucks Miami Central Station, 350 NW First Ave., on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Designed to bring together Downtown residents, families, young professionals, and local pet lovers, the event exceeded expectations in attendance, media reach, and economic impact for the franchise.
The Holiday Sip & Shine event drove a remarkable resurgence in foot traffic at the recently reopened Starbucks Miami Central Station, signaling its renewed presence and community connection. More than 100 attendees participated, including dozens of four-legged friends who enjoyed specialty PupCups and holiday-themed fun for children of all ages.
After switching management, the Starbucks Miami Central Station location closed for several months, resulting in the loss of many regular customers who were unaware of its reopening. To reintroduce the store to the community and reclaim its place as a neighborhood staple in Downtown Miami, the inaugural holiday event was born.
As a result if media attention, store performance skyrocketed, with Saturday sales doubling within the first two hours of the event, marking a major economic win for the location.
Guests enjoyed complimentary holiday beverage tastings, BOGO holiday drinks, 50 percent off holiday pastries, a Pup Cup Station, a Kids’ Creation Station, a holiday cup raffle, a photo booth, live deejay and more, all designed to create a vibrant, family-friendly celebration.
This event was spearheaded by Kylie Russell, a member of the Russell Family, owner of Priceless One Management in collaboration with the Miami Downtown Development Authority, and AOI Events & PR, who delivered an exceptional turnout and measurable impact, transforming the recently reopened Starbucks franchise into a bustling hub of holiday spirit and community engagement.
The Russell family, founders of Concessions International, are long-respected leaders in food, beverage, and airport concessions nationwide. With a proven track record of operating more than 40 franchise concepts across 30 locations in the United States, the Russell family has long demonstrated the operational expertise needed to successfully run a Starbucks.
Their first Starbucks license agreement was established in 2015 at Jackson Memorial Hospital, a non-traditional location situated within a hospital rather than a street-side storefront. They expanded with a second licensed store in Atlanta, GA in 2018, followed by their Miami Central station location.
Their family legacy anchored in community engagement, hospitality excellence, and entrepreneurship guides their commitment to creating meaningful, people-focused experiences. Their leadership infused this event with warmth, intentionality, and a genuine spirit of service.
