Miami Beach police say a homeless man attacked a Jewish school teacher Tuesday morning, slapping her in the back of the head, spitting in her face, and shouting antisemitic slurs as she walked into work on 77th Street. Investigators say the suspect, 33‑year‑old Slemons Graves, also smashed her cellphone before taking off with it. City Commissioner David Suarez condemned the attack, calling it “sick and disgusting.”
