Police continue search for shooter following possible road rage incident in North Miami Beach

Investigation continues into shooting in Orthodox Jewish area of North Miami Beach

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — An investigation is ongoing after a shots-fired incident in North Miami Beach.

It happened on Saturday around 5 p.m. in the area of 179th Terrace and 10th Avenue.

Local 10 News spoke to a woman who was outside with her children when the gunfire erupted.

“It’s terrifying, pick up a gun and shoot at a car,” she said. “We ducked behind the van, ran down the block.”

The neighborhood where the incident occurred is a predominantly Orthodox Jewish community, and it happened on a Saturday afternoon, which is the Sabbath, meaning many families go for walks outside.

Police believe the shooting may be related to road rage.

They believe the shooter was driving a Kia and they are very concerned as this could have turned into a tragic situation.

Anyone with information is urged to call North Miami Beach police or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
