Miami Collegiate Team Captures Second Place
ANN ARBOR, Mich.— In its second competition of the season, the Miami University collegiate synchronized skating team placed second at the collegiate free skate event at the 29th Porter Classic Saturday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miami earned a total score of 109.24, placing second overall in a 10-team field.
- The RedHawks produced scores of 53.45 (executed elements) and 56.79 (program components).
- The Northernettes (True North FSC) captured first place with a score of 113.06, with Miami finishing less than four points behind.
- Miami held a solid lead over Western Michigan University, who placed third with 106.21, and Adrian College, who placed fourth with 99.40.
- The RedHawks also finished ahead of Delaware (99.34), Michigan (97.43), Michigan State (92.39), Trine University (84.57), Boston College (75.21), and Illinois (74.88).
