Inter Miami wins MLS
Inter Miami, led by legendary Argentine Lionel Messi, 38, won the MLS championship for the first time in their history after defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 in the final as hosts.
Messi did not score in the final, but he assisted on his team’s second and third goals.
Inter took the lead with Ocampo’s (8-ag) own goal in the opening match, Ahmed (60) leveled the match at 1-1, then De Paul (71) and Allende (90+6) used Messi’s passes to win the team from Miami.
